From fear to hope
The week of death, burial and commemoration of Nelson Mandela is just behind us. Someone who has become our global conscience: because his struggle for equal rights whatever racial, tribal, gender, beliefs one has, and for equal opportunities for everyone. Because of his inner capacity for reconciliation. Because his tireless efforts for democratization of the heart, bottom-up and top-down. And especially because of his smile, his servant and humble attitude, and love for people...
For my own business 2014 as Hilde Consult there are five elements of Mandela 's life that especially inspire me:
- justice in the way of truth finding and reconciliation
- confronting hatred with love
- servant leadership
- strategic working towards your goal
- keeping focus"
Specifically, this means that it is valuable to find out where it went / goes wrong. Accept for yourself that this is the case is often a long struggle. But to learn this as a person / organization, to embrace this "pain", to recognize the fear behind, and to love yourself and the other, is the beginning of a new start. So the question is: what do you do with all what went wrong, can you let it go, can you put your fears behind you, so that you become hopeful and can start a new phase? And how would this look like? It requires personal leadership / organizational leadership to further shape the future. With an appropriate strategy. And not to be distracted from your goal where you are aiming at. Result oriented.
Hilde Consult 2014 wants to contribute in this line by equipping individuals, groups and organizations to work the change they themselves believe in.
Read more about it on other pages of this site , eg under Change from within:
It is my conviction that the facilitation of a change process in a person or an organization can only be done accurate when recognizing that some parts cannot change, and other parts should not change. Finding out this unchangeable side is step number one for a process ending in success. Step number two is agreement on the part that should change and can change. Number three is doing the change.
If you do not quite know to figure out how this could look for you, contact me without obligation, so I might think along with you for a while, and feel, and move in the direction that suits you.
Wishing you for 2014:
